The heated outdoor swimming pool “Arrastal” offers large sunbathing areas, two pools for swimmers and non-swimmers and a children's pool and is just over the river in our neighbouring Alf.
Just 12 kilometres away you will find the attractive spa town of Bad Bertrich. There are a host of wellness specials to try and a thermal baths unique with its 32°C naturally warm water. It is the only Glauber's salts thermal baths in Germany.
In Zell, only 6 kilometres away, there is a modern adventure pool and leisure complex offering an indoor and outdoor pool, giant waterslide, sunbathing areas, sauna and solarium, and guaranteeing fun for all ages.
The Calmont Climbing Trail – is a hiking trail which leads you across the Calmont slope, the steepest vineyard in Europe and giving you a breathtaking panoramic view of the Moselle valley.
On many well-organised cycle and hiking paths and trails you can discover the Moselle or the neighbouring Eifel or Hunsrück Hill regions.
Discover the Moselle by boat. There are regular daily boat trips up river to Bernkastel-Kues and down river to Cochem.
Numerous historical castles, fortresses and monasteries can be visited. Some are in our vicinity such as Castle Arras, the Marienburg and Cochem Castle.
Famous Moselle cities and historical wine villages such as Trier, Bernkastel-Kues, Traben-Trarbach, Zell, Beilstein, Cochem and Koblenz are great excursion destinations.
Nature parks and deer parks in the Eifel Hills are also worth visiting – not only for youngsters.
The famous gemstone city of Idar-Oberstein in the Hunsrück region with its special attraction: the chapel build in the rockface overlooking the city, is a particularly interesting attraction.
In the Eifel region visit the “Maare” – the volcanic crater lakes – where you can take a refreshing swim or hire a paddle boat; or spend the day at the Nürburgring racing track and adventure world.
